#AWickedHalloween Day 2: "Mermaids".
Whenever Cher and Halloween are mentioned in the same conversation, it's too easy to think of "Dark Lady" or "The Witches of Eastwick"... maybe even "Moonstruck". However, I think "Mermaids" doesn't get the attention it deserves. Sure, it's not a story about actual mermaids, but it's still Cher, bitch—playing along side legendary actresses Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci. Furthermore, she stole "The Shoop Shoop Song" all to herself. Cher literally invented mermaids here, so here's to them!
PS: I highly recommend watching Demi Lovato's documentary "Child Star". She interviews Ricci and the story she tells about Cher actually taking her like a daughter and actually protecting her is very adorable.
Quando a gente fala de Cher e Halloween na mesma conversa, é muito fácil pensar em "Dark Lady", "As Bruxas de Eastwick"... Talvez até "Feitiço da Lua". Contudo, eu não acho que "Minha mãe é uma sereia" recebe a atenção que merece. Claro que não é realmente sobre sereias, mas ainda é Cher (bitch) contracenando com as emblemáticas Winona Ryder e Christina Ricci. Além do mais, ela roubou "The Shoop Shoop Song" pra ela. A Cher realmente inventou as sereias aqui. Um brinde a elas!
PS: Eu super recomendo assistir o documentário da Demi Lovato, Child Star. Na entrevista com a Ricci, ela conta como a Cher praticamente a adotou e a protegeu. Uma história adorável.
