Whoever is a big fan of Bewitched—such as myself—knows the entire show is a big allegory for queerdom. And the best part about it is that the entire cast and crew knew exactly what they were doing. Furthermore, if every character is one representation of types of queer people, I hope I'm Endora.
That's why I decided to pay homage to her (as well as the iconic Agnes Moorehead). For this piece, I really tried to drag the shit out her (as in try to make her look like a drag queen) and I really think I succeded it. Even now, I can't stop thinking I actually drew a male impressionator of Endora. Cheers to that!
Quem é um grande fã de A Feiticeira—como eu— sabe que a série é uma grande alegoria sobre pessoas queer. E a melhor parte é que o elenco e a produção sabiam exatamente o que estavam fazendo. Além do mais, se cada personagem representa um tipo de pessoa queer, espero que eu seja a Endora.
É por isso que eu decidi homenageá-la (assim como a icônica Agnes Moorehead). Para essa arte, eu tentei ao máximo fazê-la parecer uma drag queen e eu acho que alcancei meu objetivo. Mesmo agora, não consigo olhar para esse desenho sem pensar se tratar de uma drag que fez Endora. Um brinde a isso!
